We in the Bujinkan are fortunate to have a large bank of experienced people training in the United States. They have many different outlooks on life and training, and represent just as many different training styles and practice methodologies. In an effort to build a more comprehensive network and strengthen the sense of community within our region of the country, we are pleased to bring you the second annual Midwest Tai Kai.
The focus of this meeting will be to foster a sense of community. We will have various Shidoshi showing how they approach and train on a variety of themes designed to highlight the unique vision of each teacher. In this way, we may all deepen our understanding of each other as well as the Budo that we are sharing. This yearŐs Midwest Bujinkan Taikai will focus on these topics:
The date chosen for this year's Midwest Taikai is August 7th- 9th, 2009. It will be held at the Crown Plaza hotel in Madison, Wisconsin. The changing of location every year to a different region of the Midwest allows the greatest proliferation of training and ideas and helps to build connections all across the Midwest. All of the instructors are volunteers and are not being paid for their commitment and participation. All funds collected for the Midwest Taikai go to pay for the venue and related services, any profits will be donated to charity. This spirit of community and a commitment to its growth is one of the most unique and special aspects of the Midwest Tai Kai Philosophy! Hatsumi Soke has directed us to be sure to train with good people, with good hearts. Come together with us and celebrate the vision that the Dayton Bujinkan and everyone in attendance last year helped to create! |
